12/28/2023 0 Comments Phone numbers![]() When we need up-to-date contact information, we look for additional information through various publicly-accessible and internal-to-government sources. Statistics Canada selects survey participants from a list of individuals or organizations compiled from various sources. What other sources of information can be used to obtain my contact information? Unlisted phone numbers can be made available to Statistics Canada by survey respondents, other government departments and communication service providers on the condition that they are only used for statistical or research purposes. Can Statistics Canada obtain my unlisted phone number? The success of our surveys will depend on partnerships with communication service providers as well as the ongoing cooperation of Canadians. Updated lists of household addresses and associated phone numbers and email addresses are essential for comprehensive census collection. This is best accomplished through increased use of phone and email follow-ups with Canadians, before census employees are sent door to door. Statistics Canada is striving for a contact-free approach to conducting the census and all other household surveys – including the monthly Labour Force Survey. For the census, Statistics Canada uses phone numbers and email addresses to reduce the need for personal contact, which protects the health and safety of Canadians. Statistics Canada strives for a contact-free approach to its surveys, including the Census of the Population, to protect the health and safety of respondents and staff. The Survey of Household Spending, 2019, determined that nearly half of Canadian households (45.1%) had only a cellphone and no landline. ![]() An increasing number of households have replaced landline telephone service with a wireless service exclusively. Statistics Canada needs to represent all dwellings in its samples in order to produce high-quality data from its surveys. Email addresses are considered another modern way of contacting respondents in a digital age, similar to cellphones and landlines, each being added as technology evolved. The prevalence of cellphones and corresponding decline in landline use has increased the likelihood that an interviewer will contact Canadians on their cellphones. ![]() Why does Statistics Canada obtain phone numbers and email addresses? Phone numbers, including those for cellphones, and email addresses are provided to Statistics Canada by survey respondents, other government departments and communication service providers on the condition that they are only used for statistical or research purposes. The Statistics Act provides the authority for Statistics Canada to collect dwelling and contact information. How does Statistics Canada acquire phone numbers and email addresses? The data from other statistical programs, such as the Census of Population as well as health and social surveys, provide information that affects the funding of essential services that all Canadians depend on, such as public transit, hospitals and schools. These important programs include the Labour Force Survey, which produces the monthly unemployment rate. Information collected by Statistics Canada supports a number of statistical programs that benefit all Canadians as well as our country's businesses. Statistics Canada acquires and uses Canadians’ phone numbers and email addresses under the authority of the Statistics Act to ensure that all Canadian households, including those that use cellphones or other communication services exclusively in lieu of landlines, are contacted and represented so that our surveys produce an accurate picture that reflects all the people of Canada. Since it is for a different purpose and also designed specifically for the SLFNHA communities, it is more cautious to ensure that there is an effective firewall maintained between the communities and the external hubs. How does Statistics Canada use phone numbers and email addresses? ![]() It aligns with the Public Health Guidance on Travel Restrictions for Safe Pathways to and from Communities for Care document that was drafted July 2020. It was designed only with public health risk in mind, and as a way to support communities in decisions about essential and non-essential travel and the entry requirements they may put in place for their communities. The SLFNHA colour system has 3 colours and was designed as a travel advisory for the risk associated with visiting key service hubs in our region. These stages were determined with public health, economic, and other factors in mind. The colours indicate what precautions need to be in place including limits on gathering sizes, what practices businesses and workplaces need in place, and what businesses and workplaces can be open. The province of Ontario has implemented a colour coded system with 5 colours corresponding with stages of reopening.

Mesosiderites are brecciated, made up of rock fragments and magnesium-rich silicate gems. Both are rare, with only about 45 known pallasites and 50 known mesosiderites. Stony-iron has two subtypes: mesosiderites and pallasites. Their composition is almost 50/50 of metal and silica. Lastly, about one percent of meteorites are stony-iron. These are almost entirely metal, mostly iron with nickel and traces of heavy metals like lead or chromium. Iron MeteoritesĪround five percent of meteorites are iron meteorites. The main difference is that chondrites contain chondrules (tiny rock spheres). ![]() There are two subcategories under stony: chondrites and achondrites. According to NASA, around 94 percent of meteorites are stony. Stony meteorites are mostly silica or silica minerals, but they also contain nickel and iron. (Image credit: By Gabisfunny - Own work, Public Domain, ) Types of Meteorite StonesĬan you guess how many meteorites have been found on Earth? The answer: over 60,000! So, what are the three types of meteorites? We’ll break them down from most to least common. So, what is a meteorite made of? Meteorites are diverse but always fall under one of three categories. What kind of stone is meteorite, though? Over 90 percent of meteorites are rocks. On the Mohs mineral hardness scale, meteorite ranks between 4-6, similar to fluorite. Is it glassy or opaque? If it’s glassy, it’s not a meteorite. Is it heavier than it looks? Meteorites are unusually heavy for their size.ĭoes it attract a magnet? The high iron content makes meteorites magnetic, though you may need to hang the magnet by a string for “stony” meteorites (which we’ll discuss next).ĭoes it have a flaky, eggshell-like crust? You may need to file down a corner to see, but meteorites will have metal flakes and a lighter-colored interior. Meteorite Characteristics & Identificationĭespite roughly 6,100 meteorites coming to Earth annually, approximately only about ten are found every year. Identifying your zodiac sign is simple enough, but what about meteorite identification? Let’s go over the qualities to look for. Meteorite isn’t a birthstone, but some meteorites contain an August birthstone: peridot! Peridot forms naturally on Earth, but a few meteorites have carried peridot crystals, nicknamed “space peridot” or “extraterrestrial peridot.”Īstrologically, meteorite’s galactic origins make it a zodiac stone for every sign! A sleep doctor can look for other conditions that may be involved. It is also important to know if there is something else that is causing your child’s sleep problems. With the results of this study the doctor will be able to develop an individual treatment plan for your child. A sleep study is the best way to evaluate your child’s sleep. A parent or guardian also will need to stay at the sleep center with the child. The study requires your child to spend the night at the sleep center. It also will show the severity of the problem. The sleep study will reveal the nature of your infant’s breathing problem. It charts your child’s brain waves, heartbeat, and breathing during sleep. This kind of study is called polysomnography. If needed, the doctor will schedule your infant for a sleep study. A sleep doctor will review your infant’s history and symptoms. Some centers specialize in helping children. If so, then you should schedule an appointment at an accredited sleep center. You may need to take your infant to a sleep doctor. But infant sleep apnea has not been established as a risk factor for SIDS. These problems include:Ī small percentage of children who die from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS) have apnea symptoms prior to death. Its presence at birth is usually a sign of another illness.Ī variety of medical conditions can cause infant sleep apnea or make it worse. In preterm infants, infant sleep apnea tends to appear between the second and seventh day of life. The risk decreases to 25 percent for infants who weigh less than 5.5 pounds. It is less common in infants under the age of six months.ĭuring the first month after birth it occurs in 84 percent of infants who weigh less than 2.2 pounds. It sometimes occurs in larger preterm or full-term infants. Small preterm infants are most likely to have infant sleep apnea. What are risk factors for infant sleep apnea? Obstructive sleep apnea may be related to underdeveloped facial features, such as a small or pushed back chin, as well as structural airway abnormalities and low tone. Obstructive apneas are rare in healthy infants. The duration of these normal events is very short. It also may occur after the child sighs or moves. Even healthy infants may have a brief central apnea. This can be a normal part of an infant’s development. It is common for there to be some instability in an infant’s breathing. It also can be a secondary problem that is caused by another medical condition. It can be a developmental problem that results from an immature brainstem. Infant central sleep apnea has two general causes. This is known as “bradycardia.” The infant even may lose consciousness and need to be resuscitated. This is known as “hypoxemia.” The infant also may develop a slow heartbeat. The infant may not have enough oxygen in the blood. These breathing problems can cause severe complications. Apneas that occur in larger premature infants and full-term infants tend to be central apneas. The majority of apneas that occur in small premature infants are mixed apneas. As a result, premature infants tend to have more sleep-related breathing disorder and apneas. Premature infants tend to have more REM sleep than full-term infants. Mixed apneas have features that are suggestive of central and obstructive cause. Obstructive apneas occur when soft tissue in the back of the throat collapses and blocks the airway during sleep. As an example, a problem in the heart’s pump function can impair circulation and the brain does not send the correct signals to breathe during an infant’s sleep. Sometimes, central apneas can occur due to a problem outside the brain. Central apneas occur when your brain does not send the proper signals to the body resulting in a decrease in effort to breathe and even a complete pause in breathing. The apneas in infant sleep apnea may be central, obstructive, or mixed. Partial reductions in breathing are called “hypopneas.” Complete pauses in breathing are called “apneas.” In infancy, the frequency of these events increases during REM sleep. It involves reductions and pauses in breathing that occur during an infant’s sleep. Infant sleep apnea is a sleep-related breathing disorder. Morse, DO and John Saito, MD What is infant sleep apnea? So you might no see the difference unless you really pay attention and are using proper full builds. Sunder is only effective on targets with high armor but most that have high armor don't have high hp. If you ever look at the damage numbers and watch the health of the enemies you can see how different weapons effect enemies. Or at least that's as much as we got it to hit. However, when we did the testing, most of the damage perks in the strength stat and the accuracy stat didn't actually add damage like they were supposed to, just the perks though. there is also a way to one shot people with a bow but it takes a full build vs someone else in a full build. On the winds katana, I have used that to one shot players with it's sweep. It's the best of both worlds, increases over all damage about 5-10% on most weapons, some more. There is a armor pen+damage mod that you can get the recipe for in the tomb of the warmaker.give 5 damage instead of 6 but also 12% armor pen instead of 15%. Sorry this is long but there is some good info I swear. However 32 damage and 100% penetration didn't seem to do as much damage as i thought it would I just know my hammer does more damage to Rock Noses than my spear/spike and the damage is higher on the spear, but the penetration is higher on the hammer. I'm not even sure how things are calculated. I thought the penetration would be more effective and adding damage would make it more effective. I'm honestly not that impressed with the damage it does compared to the two handed hammer I use when fighting rock noses. I also found a 7 Winds Katana and put a damage mod on it, but now I'm wondering if that was a mistake. So I'm wondering if peopel have done the math recently to determine which outcome is better? Most of these threads are super old and probably have out dated information. I've tried looking up which is better, but I can't find anything other than people talking about pvp and wrongly suggesting that NPCs don't have armor when they do. However, I'm wondering if more armor penetration would be better in PvE only. I just finally got my hands on a Musashi Black Blade Katana and I almost put a weapon damage mod on it. |
